Peter the funny man

We got the kids ready for church this morning. After dressing Peter he went to check himself out in the mirror. Staring at his reflection his exact words were, "Oh my gorgeous." This is funny.

Picking Emmie up from school

I like picking Emmie up for school. She is usually very chatty. Today I saw her talking with her friend Addison. When she got in the car this was our conversation.

Emmie: Mom! Do you want to know what Addison and I were talking about?
Me: Sure!
Emmie: Well Addison's mom got up first today and she went to find their dog. She found him and he had died! The dog was really old.
Me: Was Addison sad? Did you say anything to make her feel better?
Emmie: Yeah, I told her not to worry. She can go buy another dog.

Looks like we need to work on sympathy.

Yesterday we woke up and the sky was clear!  We could see the mountain by our house and we could actually see the sky!  I forgot how much I missed direct sunlight.  I never knew the inversion here was so bad.  I seriously think people suffer from seasonal affective disorder due to the serious pollution.  Well, we took advantage of the sunny day and went sledding.  The kids had a ball. I was surprised that they enjoyed playing in the snow more than the actual sledding.  They must have got their mom's non-thrill seeker gene.

Christmas 2014

We had a wonderful Christmas and were able to spend it with all of my family and all of Brenden's family.  There is nothing better than spending December in Arizona.  It was nice and warm! We were able to spend lots of time with all our favorite people.  Here is a glance at what we accomplished.

1.  We got to watch Jenna and Cora's dance show at Tempe Marketplace.
2.  Many hours were spend on the tramp.  Good thing we have uncles who are kids at heart.
3.  I got so spend a lot of time with my BFF Frances.  She is a doll.
4.  We went to see the Mesa Temple lights.
5.  The "angels" for the Christmas nativity. Jenna and Emmie.
6.  It is a must to feed the cows oranges at Grandpa and Grandma B's.
7.  Hike on south mountain.
8.  Peter got to spend good quality time with his BFF Uncle Matthew.
9.  Santa came to Grandpa Randy's house!
10. Brenden checking out Peter's new wheels.
11.  Spending Christmas morning with Grandpa and Grandma B.
12.  Having fun with grandparents and cousins.
13.  Shedding tears.
14. Playing with new Christmas toys.
15.  A trip to see the cutest soldier in the Nutcracker.
16.  Seeing this gang roam around.
17.  The best part about Arizona is the cousins!

We are so thankful for our wonderful family!  Thank you for your generosity and making this Christmas exceptionally memorable.
