Stats on who loves us more

West Virginia - Where are you?!

Switzerland - Who are you?!

So - I was going over the usage stats for our blog and in the last 12 months it has been visited by people in every state EXCEPT for West Virginia! What's the deal West Virgina? Where's the love?

Also, the country with the 2nd highest number of visits was Switzerland. Really? Who in Switzerland is looking at our blog an averaged 6 times per month? Seriously - I want to know who you are - so please leave a comment. (Bănuiesc că e Ruth Knapp!)

Emilia v. 2.0

As Julianne was saying a few days ago - it seems like Emilia is growing so fast. Every day she starting doing something new! Here are a few of her big developmental steps from the last month.

February 1st
Here's is the night that Emmie did her first crawl

February 17th
Here she is standing

February 25th
Here she is starting to figure out patty-cake.
If we sing it, she'll start clapping sometimes. She is also starting to wave.

February 27th
Here she is today - totally mobile.

She's growing like a weed!

So this is what Emmie looked like at the end of January. She wasn't mobile and looked and acted like a baby. (OK this is her at a couple of weeks)

On February 1st Emmie crawled for the first time. She actually moved instead of just rocking back and forth. We thought this was great. But, about a week later I heard Emmie playing in her bed so I peeked in and this is what I saw. Yes, she learned how to pull herself up in her crib. How did this happen? She just learned how to crawl?

Not even a week later we noticed that she was really crabby and chewing on just about everything so we put our finger in her mouth and you'll never guess what we found. Yup, a tooth!

So this is the new and improved Emmie. She crawls, pulls herself up on just about everything and now has 1 really nice tooth. She can even do a pretty mean patty-cake. It seems like all of this happened so quickly- she is getting so big! What is going to happen next month- riding a bike?

Best bikini ever

We have been waiting and waiting for Emmie to be big enough to squeeze into her itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny red polka-dot bikini. She looks pretty good in it. Thanks to the Barrera's (senior) for the awesome baby gift.

Evidently, she likes sporting the 2 piece.

Too bad it looks like this outside today. Really not swimming weather.

Not much happening... desperate for news.

We thought we would update you on the latest happenings in our household. The biggest news is that Emmie is crawling! She doesn't go very far and you can tell it doesn't come natural yet but at least she is mobile. We have also found out that Emmie doesn't like any of her toys. She prefers to play with ordinary objects. We have found her chewing on the following: paper, cardboard, gloves, shoes, electrical cords (not plugged in), backpacks, pens, socks. . . you get the idea. Here is an example.

This one is for Grandma Jody. We have an organ bench for some reason and it is the perfect height for Emmie to reach the keys. We're going to start her out early. Doesn't she look like a natural?

Emmie apparently is really good at yoga. Check out her form on the downward-facing dog.
