Whereas most of our foreign neighbors decided it would be wise to huddle in the interior hallway of our apartment building when we got the tornado warning, I decided to run outside with the camera. We stayed close to our patio at first, when the warning was still in effect, but once they downgraded us to severe thunderstorm warning with high chance of damaging sheer winds, baseball size hail (some was reported about 15 miles north) and torrential rains, we went out to the parking lots to get some shots of the lightning show. It was non-stop lightning. And instead of being up behind the clouds, most of it was running laterally under the clouds. Very cool. Good thing I had my tall metal tripod with me.
